Travel Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Kiel (approx. 687 km)
Departure in the morning and drive to Kiel for boarding the Stena Line towards Gothenburg. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 2 | Gothenburg – Oslo – Hamar (approx. 420 km)
Disembarkation and drive to Oslo. During a city tour, you will discover the sights of the royal metropolis. Afterwards, you will continue to Hamar. Dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star Scandic Hamar Hotel (local category).
Day 3 | Husky Farm – Flåm (approx. 356 km)
Today you will embark on an adventurous dog sledding trip in Hemsedal. Being on a dog sled in the Norwegian nature is a unique winter experience! On the way to Flåm, you will pass the stave church in Borgund and cross the Lærdal Tunnel. The longest road tunnel in the world was built to create a road connection between Bergen and Oslo that is also passable in winter. Dinner and overnight stay at the historic 4-star Fretheim Hotel directly in Flåm (local category).
Day 4 | Flåm – Bergen (approx. 170 km)
After breakfast, you will board the Flåm Railway and travel from Flåm, located at the southern tip of the Aurlandsfjord, up into the high mountains to Myrdal. The train journey showcases the wonderful nature of the region at its best. The Flåm Railway has received multiple awards, including being named one of the 25 most beautiful train routes in the world by “The Society of International Railway.” Upon arrival in Myrdal, you will transfer to the Bergen Railway to Voss. Our tour bus will be waiting for you for the onward journey to Bergen. Dinner and overnight stay at the 4-star Thon Hotel Bergen Airport (local category).
Day 5 | Bergen – Embarkation
After breakfast, you will discover the Hanseatic city of Bergen during a city tour. Norway's second-largest city was once the seat of a Hanseatic office and is now a historic coastal town. Bergen is surrounded by seven mountains and famous fjords such as the Sognefjord and the Hardangerfjord. Afterwards, embark on a Fjord Line ship and begin your return journey to Hirtshals. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 6 | Hirtshals – Hamburg (approx. 515 km)
Arrival in Hirtshals in the morning. After disembarkation, you will continue by bus to Hamburg for your overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Helgoland. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.
Day 7 | Return Journey (approx. 590 km)
With many beautiful impressions, you will begin your journey home today.
