Advent in Franconia

Day 1 | Würzburg – Arrival

Departure in the morning and travel to our Franconian neighbors. A first stop is planned in the residence city of Würzburg. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Christmas market in the historic backdrop of Falkenhaus and the Gothic Marienkapelle. Continue to Erlangen to the hotel. After checking into your room, you have the opportunity to individually visit the Erlangen Forest Christmas at the Schlossplatz.

Day 2 | Nuremberg – Erlangen Forest Christmas

Today you will start an excursion to Nuremberg. First, you will get to know the highlights of the city on a varied tour, from the Middle Ages to the present. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time to stroll leisurely through the famous Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. It is one of the oldest Christkindlesmarkets in the world. In the wooden stalls of the “little town made of wood and cloth,” you will find traditional, often handmade Christmas decorations and sweet treats like gingerbread. In the afternoon, return to Erlangen. Visit the Erlangen Forest Christmas and treat yourself to a delicious snack, sweet temptations, or warming hot drinks.

Day 3 | Bamberg – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey. In Bamberg, you will make a stop and have the opportunity to visit the Christmas market with the nativity scene path at Maximiliansplatz. Afterwards, you will commence your journey home.
