In Salzburg, one of the oldest Advent markets in Europe, baroque settings meet alpine cultural traditions and a unique, centuries-old Christmas atmosphere. On the winter boat trip across Lake Chiemsee, you will experience the quiet, almost mystical beauty of the lake between shimmering waves and white peaks. A journey full of atmosphere, culture, and genuine Advent moments – just as the pre-Christmas season should be.

Day 1 | Augsburg – Arrival

In the morning, you will start your journey towards Augsburg. Stroll individually through the city and visit one of the most beautiful Christmas markets. The stalls of the Augsburg Christkindlesmarkt line up at the Town Hall Square, Martin Luther Square, along Philippine Welser Street, in Maximilian Street, and in front of St. Moritz Church. Afterwards, continue your journey to Munich. Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 2 | Munich – ChristkindlTram &

Bavarian Brewery

After breakfast, you will discover Munich in its Advent splendor. Around Marienplatz, the Residence, Viktualienmarkt, and the festively decorated alleys of the old town, you will experience the special atmosphere of this season – a harmonious interplay of tradition and light. A true highlight is the ride on the ChristkindlTram: with pastries, music, and a winter atmosphere, you glide through the glowing Munich and enjoy the city from a very special perspective. Afterwards, there will be time for the traditional Munich Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz – an Advent classic with a history that has grown over centuries. In the evening, enjoy a hearty 3-course meal at a typical Bavarian brewery – cozy, warm, and full of Advent flair.

Day 3 | Salzburg & Chiemsee Boat Trip – Evening at the Advent Market

Today, you will visit the Mozart city of Salzburg, where baroque splendor and a festive atmosphere create a fascinating backdrop. The Cathedral, Residence Square, Getreidegasse, and the impressive fortress panorama can be wonderfully explored individually. Afterwards, there will be time for the historic Salzburg Christkindlmarkt – one of the oldest in Europe and famous for its atmospheric setting. In the afternoon, continue to Chiemsee. On a winter boat trip across the “Bavarian Sea,” you will experience quiet magic between sparkling waves and snow-covered peaks. Spend the evening at the Christmas market in Prien or Bernau, where regional specialties and festive delicacies invite you to taste – a delightful culinary conclusion to the day.

Day 4 | Ulm – Return Journey

Today it is time to say goodbye. With many beautiful impressions in your travel luggage, you will begin your return journey after breakfast. In Ulm, you will make a stop and have free time to explore. The city offers a variety of historical sights – foremost the famous Gothic cathedral with the highest church tower in the world.
