Day 2 | Bad Salzuflen and Herford

You will get to know Bad Salzuflen, the famous salt and Kneipp spa, more closely. Let yourself be enchanted by the historic old town with its magnificent half-timbered houses, impressive buildings of the Weser Renaissance, small alleys, and the long tradition as a salt and spa town. The old town resembles a living picture book. Afterwards, you will travel to Herford and learn about the most important aspects of 1,200 years of history on an interesting tour. You will have individual free time before returning to the hotel.

Day 3 | Of Emperors and Princes

After breakfast, you will head towards Porta Westfalica, where the low mountain landscape gently transitions into the Weser Mountains, revealing a view of the vast landscape. At Porta Westfalica, you will reach the majestic Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the distinctive landmark on the German Unity Path. The ascent to the viewpoint rewards you with an impressive panorama over the Weser Valley. Now you will travel to the cultural highlight: Bückeburg Castle, the residence of the Princes of Schaumburg-Lippe. On the guided tour, you will discover magnificent historical state rooms and gain exciting insights into the history of the castle. The splendid courtyard with castle park invites you for a walk before you head back to the hotel.

Day 4 | Teutoburg Forest

The tour through the Teutoburg Forest takes you along idyllic fields and picturesque villages to the Hermann Monument. Day 5 | Bielefeld – Return Journey

After breakfast, you will leave Bad Salzuflen. In Bielefeld, you will make a stop. The city offers a charming mix of historic city center and modern culture. Stroll through the old town with its friendly atmosphere and enjoy an individual break in one of the cozy cafés before you begin your journey home.
