Travel Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival
Departure in the morning and drive to Holzgau in the Lechtal. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel with a glass of elderflower sparkling wine. Check-in and dinner.
Day 2 | Winter Alpine Tour
Today, you can expect a tour through some of the most beautiful winter landscapes of the Alps. The route leads over Ehrwald, nestled in the impressive mountain world of the Tyrolean Zugspitze Arena, to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where Bavarian tradition meets alpine flair. Next, we head to the baroque Ettal Monastery, where you will have time for an individual lunch break. Afterwards, you will drive through the idyllic pre-Alpine landscape to the famous Wies Church (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The magnificent Rococo church is particularly impressive in winter and invites for a short, contemplative stay. You will return to the hotel via Füssen.
Day 3 | Lechtal
Today, you will experience the diverse natural and cultural landscape on a winter tour through the Lechtal. Snow-covered mountain landscapes, picturesque villages, and the wild-romantic Lech accompany you on this impressive route. In Reutte, the main town of the region, you will make a stop. During a city tour, you will discover the charming town, which is idyllically situated between mountains and lakes. Reutte has a long history and was once an important trading place. After the visit, there will be time for a short individual stroll before you continue your journey through the wintery Lechtal and enjoy the special atmosphere of this alpine region.
Day 4 | Innsbruck
The days are getting shorter, and the snow-covered mountain peaks are already shining from the mountains. This is the time for pre-Christmas customs in the mountains. In Innsbruck, you will learn more about Krampus, Berchten, and spooky or sometimes even original pre-Christmas customs. During a walk through the medieval streets of Innsbruck, you will learn a lot of interesting things about these mystical customs as well as the exciting and varied history of Innsbruck. Afterwards, you will have free time. Stroll through the Christmas market located right in front of the Golden Roof. A detour to Kiebachgasse, parallel to Herzog-Friedrich-Straße, is also worthwhile. In December, it becomes the fairy tale street, when numerous figures from the most famous fairy tales look down from house fronts, bay windows, and gables onto the street.
Day 5 | Visit to the Natural Cheese Dairy + Wood Carving
After breakfast, you will drive to Steeg and visit the natural cheese dairy of the Sojer family with insights into traditional cheese production. Afterwards, a visit to a wood carving workshop is on the agenda, where you will learn more about the regional craft. Back at the hotel, there will be time to relax. In the evening, a festive Christmas gala menu awaits you. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to attend the Christmas Mass at the nearby parish church (about 250 m away).
Day 6 | Free Time
Today, you can immerse yourself in a world of peace and relaxation in the hotel's spa area. In the afternoon, we invite you to coffee and cake. How about a little walk through the winter landscape afterwards? The day will be rounded off with a fondue evening.
Day 7 | Return Journey
After breakfast, the return journey begins.
