Day 1 | Arrival Lago Maggiore

Departure in the early morning towards the south. You will be warmly welcomed at the hotel. Room allocation and dinner.

Day 2 | Camellia Park in Locarno – Ascona

Today is all about the camellia bloom. In Locarno, you will visit the camellia park, which, with 900 different camellia species over an area of 10,000 m², is a true gem in the greenery. Camellia japonica, Camellia reticulata, Camellia sasanqua, as well as various hybrids thrive in 30 flower beds. After a visit, continue to Ascona – the jewel on Lago Maggiore. Stroll along the famous lakeside promenade with its colorful houses and many cafés, gaze at the lake and the wonderful mountain backdrop, and explore the old town with its winding alleys. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner.

Day 3 | Stresa – Santa Caterina del Sasso – Isola Pescatori – Stresa

Drive to Stresa, the pearl of Lago Maggiore. Take a leisurely stroll through the town and enjoy your free time. At noon, you will embark on a boat trip with an experienced guide to the historic monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso on the eastern side of Lago Maggiore. High above the lake on a steep rock face lies the monastery (about 52 steps from the landing stage to the monastery). It is certainly one of the most admired scenarios on Lago Maggiore. Continue by boat to Isola Pescatori, where you have the opportunity for an individual break. Back on land in Stresa, the bus awaits you for the return trip to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Camellia Nursery – Lake Orta

Look forward to another wonderful day trip during breakfast. First, you will visit a camellia nursery, where you also have the opportunity to buy camellias. After that, continue to the idyllic Lake Orta. This lake has preserved its impressive originality. Among connoisseurs, it is considered the most romantic of the upper Italian lakes. With a sightseeing train or boat, you will reach the town center of Orta and visit the historic old town center. Afterwards, there will still be time for an individual stroll. Return with the sightseeing train/boat to the bus parking lot and continue by bus back to the hotel.

Day 5 | Return Journey

After a final Italian breakfast, you will begin your journey home.
