Mountain Doctor - Mountain Festival

Peace, scenic beauty, and genuine Tyrolean hospitality – this and much more characterizes the small village of Itter in the Hohe Salve holiday region. Located at the foot of the probably most beautiful viewpoint mountain, the Hohe Salve, and its little sister – the Kleine Salve, the village impresses with rustic farms, lush meadows, dreamy mountains, and great excursion destinations. The village of Itter is situated exactly between two valleys, the Brixental and the Sölleukental, and lies on a beautiful plateau. The highlight of this trip is the “Bergdoktor Bergfest” in the enchanting setting of the BergErlebnisWelt Hexenwasser in Söll, where you will experience the famous “Bergdoktor” live.

Day 1 | Arrival

Arrival in Tyrol. You are warmly welcomed at the traditional family-run Sporthotel Tiroler Hof in Itter.

Day 2 | “Mountain Doctor Mountain Festival”

Right in the morning, you will comfortably take the state-of-the-art Hexenwasser gondola from the valley station in Söll up to Hexenwasser. Rarely do you have the opportunity to meet actors and actresses in person. But today, the stars of “Bergdoktor” are within reach and are happy to answer your questions (no autographs possible). In addition, you can expect entertainment at numerous Hexenwasser experience stations, a musical program, and various delicacies at many market stalls. After an eventful day, a joint dinner awaits you at the hotel.

Day 3 | Filmdorfplatz – Mountain Doctor's Practice

Today, you will experience the cinematic home of the mountain doctor Martin Gruber up close and from above. First, you will stroll with your tour guide over the beautiful village square in Going. Here you will discover Susanne's inn, the film village square “Ellmau,” which is actually filmed in Going, the Rococo church, and the impressive Wilder Kaiser. Then, you will continue to Ellmau. Here you will see the famous Mountain Doctor practice (the practice visit may not take place due to filming). Afterwards, you will have free time and the opportunity for a short hike before returning to your hotel.

Day 4 | Innsbruck

Drive to the state capital Innsbruck, where you will take an interesting city tour in the old town with your tour guide. The city fascinates with its dreamlike location in the Alps, and the old town delights with modern architecture as well as baroque and medieval art. After the tour, you will have free time and the opportunity for an individual lunch break. In the afternoon, you will visit the world-famous Bergisel. Here you will visit the Bergisel ski jump, which, due to its unique architecture of the ski jump with the panoramic restaurant, is a year-round highlight for visitors in Tyrol. In the late afternoon, you will return to the hotel.

Day 5 | Return Journey

With many unforgettable impressions in your luggage, you will start your journey home today.
