Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival

Departure in the morning to Dagebüll to the hotel, located directly at the North Sea and ferry terminal. Check-in and dinner.

Day 2 | Island of Föhr - Frisian Caribbean

Just a few steps from the hotel is the ferry terminal. After about 50 minutes, you will reach the “Frisian Caribbean” Föhr. An informative, approximately one-hour island tour takes you to Nieblum, one of the most beautiful places on the island with magnificent thatched Frisian houses. After a walk, you will hike along the southern coast over the Goting Cliff to Wyk. There will be time to stroll along the beach promenade before returning to the mainland in the late afternoon.

Hiking distance: approx. 9 km, easy

Day 3 | Schlüttsiel – Hallig Langeneß

Bus ride to the nearby Schlüttsiel and boat trip to Hallig Langeneß. Upon arrival, you enter a world of its own. A Hallig is more than an island: during storms, often only the warfts rise above the water – nature determines the rhythm of life here. Your hike first leads to the lighthouse with a magnificent view. Via the Kirchhofswarft, you will reach the Mayenswarft. A new community center is planned on the Treubergwarft. You will continue to Hilligenley, where the ferry awaits for the return trip.

Hiking distance: approx. 9 km, easy

Day 4 | Island of Sylt

You will take the bus to Niebüll and from there take the train over the Hindenburg Dam to Sylt. In Keitum, your hike begins over the Lügenbrücke and through the Braderuper Heide to Kampen. You will reach the Uwe Dune with a magnificent view over the island. Continue over Wenningstedt to Westerland, where you will have free time. The distance can be shortened at your own expense by taking the public bus: approx. 3 km from Wenningstedt or 6 km from Kampen.

Hiking distance: approx. 17 km

Day 5 | Through the mudflats from the mainland to the Hallig

A special nature experience awaits you on the guided mudflat hike from Dagebüll to Hallig Oland. With a mudflat guide, you will hike about 6 km through the Wadden Sea to the small Hallig Oland. During a guided tour, you will learn about the Hallig and its special features. Afterwards, there will be time for your own exploration before you hike back through the mudflats to Dagebüll after about 2 hours.

Hiking distance: approx. 14 km, moderate

Day 6 | Island of Amrum

On foot, you will return to the nearby ferry terminal. The approximately 2-hour ferry ride to Amrum is already an experience. After a short bus ride, you will reach Nebel. Here, you will visit the St. Clemens Church with its famous “speaking tombstones.” Through the island forest, you will hike to the observation dune and further to the red-and-white lighthouse. Afterwards, you will follow the unique dune hiking trail past the Wriakhornsee to Wittdün.

Hiking distance approx. 10 km, easy-moderate

Day 7 | Return journey

Today it is time to say goodbye and you will begin your journey home.
