BOHR is celebrating two anniversaries – 40 years of BOHR and 25 years of BOHR Island – and warmly invites everyone to a big celebration on BOHR Island in Lautzenhausen. Admission is free on both days.
Schladming is located at an altitude of 740 meters as a central place, nestled between the rugged limestone mountains of the Dachstein massif and the ancient rock of the Schladminger Tauern. Its central location allows for a variety of excursion options in the Hohe Tauern region and in Salzburg Land.
Departure in the morning and travel by modern coach to Schladming. After checking into your room, you will be welcomed by your hosts with a schnapps and given an overview of the program for the coming days during a slide presentation.
Following the city tour in Schladming and a short hike along the Talbach Gorge, the hotel manager will personally take you to the “Hidden Paradise” for an excursion to the “Styrian Lake” in the Seewigtal (1,157 m).
You can spend today as you wish. Enjoy a beautiful, relaxing holiday day around the hotel or take a discovery tour through the Schladming-Dachstein adventure region.
First, you will travel to Ramsau and follow in the footsteps of the “Mountain Rescuers.” After a leisurely hike past some of the original filming locations of the ZDF series “Die Bergretter,” you will become a summit conqueror. We invite you to take a gondola ride to the Dachstein Glacier. You can expect magnificent views from the Sky Walk observation platform into the surrounding mountain area. As an additional attraction, you can visit the Ice Palace, the suspension bridge, and the stairway to nowhere. Afterwards, continue to Filzmoos to the Unterhofalm.
In the morning, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery Admont with its library and museum. Today, it is the oldest existing monastery in Styria. In the afternoon, you will go with Mr. Rettenbacher to Hochwurzen and then to the hotel’s own alpine hut in Untertal at the Riesach Waterfall for a barbecue. Here, the day will end in a sociable round.
Today, the journey takes you to St. Gilgen. You will take a boat to St. Wolfgang. For more than 500 years, the name “Im Weißen Rössl am Wolfgangsee” has stood for hospitality. Who doesn’t think of Peter Alexander as Leopold in the operetta? The return trip to the hotel passes through Bad Ischl (Imperial Villa) with a stop at Café Zauner.
In the morning, you can visit the Schladming Farmers' Market, which takes place every Friday. Regional products can be admired and purchased. Or how about a ride on the cable car to Planai – the Schladming local mountain?
Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye today, and you will begin your journey home.
